Celebrating the Creativity of International Literacy

All around the world, International Literacy Day is being celebrated. It is a great gift to be able to read and write. It is an essential foundation for creative expression. At Gig-Arts we've been creating artworks using the alphabet. At Newlands of Stow residential home, our young-at-heart ladies in their 80s have delicately painted alphabet trees. At the ICE Centre in Carterton our special needs groups have had fun drawing colourful green trees with stick-on letters that spell out their names.
