September Success for Gig-Arts at Oxford Brookes University!
Congratulations to all the seventy international students who took part in Gig-Arts at Oxford Brookes University in September! A fantastic session - well done to everyone! Huge thanks to Dr Nicole Ferdinand at OBBS for co-ordinating! She said: “It was my honour and privilege to be introduced to Abbie and her wonderful organisation! Gig-Arts perfectly embodies OBBS’ core values of sustainability, responsibilities and inclusivity. Abbie provided our students with a perfect start to their studies.”
One student participants said: “I think for a long time since covid it’s been hard to get out with people, so it motivated me to be with a big group today and meet people! It was very inspirational and I found out how opportunities can just strike - it’s very very inspirational that you can follow your dreams!”
The day also celebrated World Peace Day and this involved the students in creating ‘Doves of Peace’ which will tour the local community! Further news to follow soon!
