We are delighted to welcome Rebecca Rodger (Beccy) as the new Chair of the Board of Trustees.  Beccy is passionate about making a difference and the Arts, is deeply supportive of disadvantaged women and children and is keen to promote the use of technology and innovation as a tool to improve the lives of young disabled artists.

Beccy says: “I’m thrilled and honoured to become the Chair of the Board of Trustees - It’s a great privilege to work with our passionate and talented board and executive team.  I joined Gig-Arts over a year ago, getting to know the excellent work of the charity first-hand – there’s nothing like getting your hands covered in paint for a great cause!  As Chair my focus will be on strengthening the board and developing the digital strategy for Gig-Arts - a strategy that will build on the pioneering work the team have already accomplished in continuing the support of artists during lockdown, which has been a particularly challenging time for our disabled friends and colleagues.”

Beccy has enjoyed a long career in IT management and leadership, most recently with the RELX group.  She holds a Post Graduate qualification in Coaching and Mentoring Practice, is a certified Programme Manager, a certified Business Continuity/Technical Resilience professional, and is currently studying for an MBA with Oxford Brookes University.

Abbie Cooke, Founder-CEO, said: “We’re delighted that Beccy is onboard. We also deeply thank Jill Bull, the former chair, for her great contribution to Gig-Arts.”
